• What does "AS9100 Rev D verified" mean on a supplier profile?

  Composites Bridge verifies the supplier's AS9100 Rev D certificate against (a) the issuing body's public registry where one exists (OASIS for AS9100), (b) the certificate PDF supplied by the supplier, and (c) cross-checks of certificate number, scope, issued and expiry dates. The verified badge means we have done that cross-check; it does not replace your own due-diligence and we are not an accreditation body.

• How is the supplier-capability matrix structured?

  Every supplier capability is a tuple of material × process × certification × geography (DATA_MODEL.md §3). Materials include carbon fibre, glass fibre, aramid, recycled CFRP, thermoplastic CF, prepregs, sandwich cores. Processes include autoclave, OOA, RTM / VARTM, pultrusion, AFP / ATL, infusion, prepreg layup, thermoforming. Certifications include AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, NADCAP, ITAR, EAR. Geography is ISO 3166-1 alpha-3.

• How do I list my supplier capability?

  Use the supplier onboarding flow. The wizard captures your company identity, the capability matrix above, your active certifications (with PDF evidence), and your CBAM / Scope-3 posture. Verification typically completes within 5 business days; once verified, you are immediately eligible for matchmaking.

• What is a Digital Product Passport (DPP) and do I need one?

  A per-product-line sustainability + provenance declaration covering CBAM-relevant Scope-3 figures, recycled content percentage, and responsible sourcing posture. The EU Battery Regulation requires DPPs for batteries from 2027; CBAM Phase 2 (2026-2034) requires verified actuals for embedded carbon. We accept self-declared figures (flagged as such) and auditor-attested figures (auditor name shown).

• What happens if my certification expires?

  The status moves to "expired" automatically based on the expiry date in the certificate record. Expired certifications are excluded from new matchmaking runs and are flagged on your profile until you upload the renewed certificate. We send reminder emails 60 / 30 / 7 days before expiry.

• Can I list capabilities I do not yet hold AS9100 for?

  Yes. Capabilities can carry a non-aerospace certification floor (IATF 16949 for automotive, ISO 9001 for general industrial). The matchmaking engine respects the certification floor each RFQ requires — a buyer asking for AS9100 will not be matched to non-AS9100 suppliers, regardless of the underlying capability.
